Broome - Western Australia

Known as the pearl capital of the world, Broome is a unique and exotic town that is the gateway to the raw wilderness of Australia’s Kimberley region. Its showpiece is Cable Beach, with its shimmering shoreline of turquoise waters, and a 22km stretch of talc powder sand, where you’d be mad to miss a camel ride at sunset.

For those who love the spirit of adventure, get on board a game fishing charter where you can catch sailfish, marlin or tuna off the coast, in the Indian Ocean. The streets of Broome are home to some of the world’s most stunning pearl jewellery. And to honour the town’s pearling history, an elegant Japanese Cemetery celebrates the lives of over 900 Japanese people, most of whom were pearl divers in Broome.
